Review: Saving Mel

Saving Mel Saving Mel by Rye Hart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Evan Roger after having a painful past with betrayal and heartbreaks is now cooped up himself in the mountain of Montana with his nephew, Liam and niece Hadley after losing his brother and sister in law in a car accident. Melanie Peterson with a degree in child development and dream of being a preschool is staying with her dad taking care of his massive heart attack, once on her way back to home after meeting her friend, a blizzard attacks and she reaches Evan's cabin and then starts their love story.
I voluntarily reviewing an ARC of the book and I loved it, from the first page, the book was full of emotions, suffers, pain, love and hot sex. Two people with painful, meet and instant attraction sparks. Evan and Mel, both have problems in opening up to each other and letting them in, but when one can't lose the other, they let their guard off and reach them. I loved all characters in the story, Evan had readily taken up the kids and being more than a father figure for his brother's kids, while Mel, she is strong and motivated but still have her demons to fight from her fight from her past and still she is loving and caring towards the kids by her nature. The kids Liam and Hadley, are cute and the scene with them and the adults were really adorable, while Layla and Jacob characterized as supportive friend and father of Mel. This book is a complete package of emotions.

Review: The Wrong Bride

The Wrong Bride by Catharina Maura My rating: 5 of 5 stars The actual bride This was my first book by the author. The book just popped up on recommendation after reading another Indian book series based on arranged marriage. Initially I was hesitant to select this book as I just finished a similar troupe but the author just swayed me away. In the story of Ares and Raven, my heart went out for Raven for what she has been through her life by her mother and devious sister. And Ares, he is just a intelligent fool to not realise what's is right in front of his eyes. I loved the way the story unravelled and scripting. I story telling hooked me up till the end. Though the book is titled "The wrong bride", from the beginning the author was clear to display that Raven must have been the actual bride. Now after getting a glimpse of Luca and Val in the end of the book, I ready to explore other books of the author. View all my reviews...
