Unwrapped by The Billionaire by JoAnna Nicholson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Nora, a sub editor of a famous woman's magazine in New York, visits her hometown a California Suburban after seven years to meet her stepdad, who love her and cares for her as a read dad. Nora always had a teenage crush in her dad's best friend,Theo, who is 20years older to her. Theo, a billionaire with his innovation in medicine engineering, married a while after Nora left for New York, but unhappy in the married life. When she is grown up now, Theo is unable to see her as the child anymore, also with Nora's long time crush on him, the sexual tension is always present around them. Once after on a dinner night, they have heated encounter which spikes up Theo's guilt towards his friend and wife and leaves Nora heartbroken. But one night changes everything in their life when her father gets a stroke. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of the book, I enjoyed the book very well and loved the 3 lead characters. Nora, strong independent, tries to express her feelings to her dad's best friend, while Theo struggles between his love less marriage and his love for Nora. I liked Andy, Nora's dad too, the way he handles his daughter and friend's relationship and being a supportive dad to her. I recommend this book to 18+ readers but it s really a lovely book.
